Another Victory!

CUPE 2626 is proud to have been able to help yet another member to settle their case with the University! A proctor, who received many contracts during the Fall exam period, was able to accumulate enough working hours to go over the 32.5 hours threshold, which obligates the University to offer a full 130-hour T.A. appointment for the following semester. Unfortunately, the student’s Faculty declined to follow through with their duty by claiming that the member was not registered as a student in their Faculty. The member contacted CUPE 2626 for help and the Union was able to convince the Faculty to offer a complete 130-hour appointment for the member.
