April 28: International Day of Mourning for workers killed or injured on the job

It is an important date for the labour movement: we remember those workers we’ve lost, and fight for better standards for today’s workers.

In Ottawa, there will be a Day of Mourning ceremony organized by the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) and the Ottawa & District Labour Council in Vincent Massey Park, at the CLC Monument, commencing at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday April 28, 2015.

Training: Health & Safety in the Workplace

As workers in the province of Ontario, members of CUPE 2626 are required to be trained regarding health and safety risks in the workplace.
