Recently, a department neglected to hire several students who had job entitlements to be fulfilled during the Winter semester. Several members came forward and were understandably confused and unhappy of the tight financial situation in which this department placed them. After a few exchanges and meetings with CUPE 2626, the department agreed to fulfill its obligations through the remaining contracts and the upcoming summer contracts. CUPE 2626 plans to continue to monitor the situation in order to make sure that the department follows through with its promises.
