Harassment-Awareness Training

After failing to uphold their legal obligations for years, uOttawa has finally instructed professors (supervisors) to complete legally-mandated harassment-awareness training. This positive first step comes after CUPE 2626 held a press conference earlier this summer that drew media attention to the issue of harassment in the workplace at uOttawa, and put pressure on the Employer to ensure a safe and secure workplace.

CUPE 2626 is looking forward to the Employer continuing on this positive path by communicating this same message to our members, and we strongly encourage our members to complete this online training. By completing their training members will fulfill their legal obligations, and will become better informed regarding their rights in the workplace. Towards this end, CUPE 2626 will continue fighting for an equitable and harassment-free workplace.
