On August 14, 2014, CUPE 2626 reached an agreement in principle with the University of Ottawa (the Employer) regarding a new Collective Agreement. The Collective Agreement will not come into effect until the agreement in principle has been ratified by the Union members by referendum. Therefore, CUPE 2626 invites its members to answer the referendum question below by voting from September 16 to September 18, 2014.

Ratification Question: “Do you accept the terms of the agreement in principle between CUPE 2626 and the University of Ottawa (the Employer) for a new Collective Agreement (2013-2016)?”

Members will have to answer “Yes” or “No” by voting during the referendum. The Collective Agreement will be ratified if the number of “Yes” votes exceeds the number of “No” votes.

How to Vote

Please come to one of the polling stations listed below, and don’t forget to bring a piece of photo ID (Student Card, Driver’s License, Passport, etc.), along with your most recent contract with you to vote.

In order to help you familiarize yourself with the agreement before voting in the ratification referendum on September 16-17-18, CUPE 2626 is hosting a series of information sessions. During the referendum, these information sessions will take place at the following times and locations:

• September 17: RGN (Atrium) , 9am to Noon
• September 18: TBT 112, Noon to 8pm
