Work From Home Fund – Apply before April 30, 2021

CUPE 2626 has worked hard to support its members during the COVID-19 pandemic and reached an agreement with the University of Ottawa to provide financial help to our members in need of new work-related technological and logistical expenses caused as a result of the work-from-home movement. As such, the University of Ottawa will provide a fund of $75,000 to CUPE 2626 members that are working as Teaching Assistants (TAs) for purchases made between March 16, 2020, and April 16, 2021.

TAs will be reimbursed up to $100 for any expense necessary to work from home on a first-come, first-served basis. Such expenses include tablets, computers, software, headphones, microphones, webcams, routers, external hard drives, the improvement of an Internet connection, screens and monitors, as well as computer accessories. This does not include any maintenance on such expenses.

In order to benefit from such reimbursement, you must send an email, with the detailed receipts as well as proof of payment attached, to Faculty Relations ( before April 30, 2021.
