Referendum on Ratification of the New Collective Agreement: March 28 to 31

Référendum de Ratification 2016 - Site web EN

That’s right! Our bargaining team has reached an agreement in principe with the University (our Employer) regarding our new Collective Agreement (2016-19). The Collective Agreement will not come into effect until the agreement in principle has been ratified by the Union members (that’s you!) by referendum. Therefore, CUPE 2626 invites its members to answer the referendum question below by voting until March 31st, 2017.

Ratification Question

“Do you accept the proposed Memorandum of Settlement between CUPE Local 2626 and the University of Ottawa?”

Members will have to answer “Yes” or “No” by voting during the referendum. The Collective Agreement will be ratified if the number of “Yes” votes exceeds the number of “No” votes.
